“Janaki” - after Janaki Ammal the first known female botanist. The colors on this painting represent her Indian orgins where marigolds are a celebrated flower. She's on two pieces of plywood, measuring 8ft tall by 6ft wide.

I created her in 2020 and after having to fight her ownership I decided to add new energy to her and sign her as Joon.

She’s a powerful piece that brings an energizing and empowering presence.

Elliot

Elliot was created in 2018 and has been featured at the Clayton Hotel, The Rocky Mountain Bridal Magazine and with Guest House. This beauty spreads across two canvases measuring 60 x 48 inches each. She is the last painting with my signature as Ashley Joon.

With her bold contrast in colors, Elliot’s presence creates a poetic assertiveness. A stoic energy, playing with both masculine and feminine qualities.
